Dozens Of Strangers Save Grandmother's Home From Being Condemned By The City

Sep 11, 2018 | admin

A grandmother was about four weeks away from losing her home. That is, until she woke up one morning to dozens of strangers ready to work.

Gina Gibson said her home in Independence, MO., was being condemned by the city. The home needed siding and gutter repairs, in addition to issues with her garage.

Gibson, who lives on her own since her husband passed away, could not afford to pay for the repairs.

So, she asked for help.

30 members of the local United Auto Workers Union (UAW) responded to the call and made all of the necessary repairs for Gibson to keep her home.

"I just need a place for the kids to go to Grandma's. That's important," Gibson told KMBC News.
